IIRC, one of them actually did sign a re-allegiance to the King before the Battle of Trenton. In fairness, it looked real bad for the Americans at the time. They'd had nothing but disastrous losses since the Battle of Long Island (one of the most severe losses by American forces ever), the Continental army was in shambles, They'd lost damn near the entirety of New York and New Jersey, and the Continental Congress fled Philadelphia.

I haven't studied much in the way of the signers of the declaration of independence, so you might have to do some digging.
I do remember it being mentioned in episode 3 of "Liberty!"
