Beyond the hardcore feminists, feminism has pretty shallow penetration into Japan. No patriarchy theory being taught and it's still in the early stages of feminist "issues" being things like wearing pants, heels, and make-up in the workplace.
Basically the population at large is currently resistant to feminism, but not due to any understanding of how evil feminism is, but out of cultural conservatism.
More work needs to be done before they can subvert Japan. Once the younger generation fails to learn why their culture came into existence, they will be more open to letting it go and embracing feminism. However, strong patriotism and national identity is how you inoculate the non-intellectual masses, which Japan is plenty good at.
i've started noticing some problems, i've seen people become feminists in japan after university so they might be having the same problem with infection in universities. I've also seen foreigners there causing problems, there's one foreigner i saw on twitter who loves complaining about not enough women in power and also loves to complain about anime girls as well. She seems to be married to a japanese .
