Someone on youtube said yesterday that Trump will probably end up picking a VERY moderate nominee in order to try calming down the leftists and make the process of confirming go faster. As much as I hate to admit it, that makes more sense than nominating a hard-liner like Amy Coney Barrett, since all the Republicans won't be falling in lockstep with McConnell, and they won't be able to rely on their majority in the Senate to push through a confirmation. The GOP really needs to find a way to make RINOS like Romney, Collins, and Murkowski fall in line.

Well, at least with Murkowski. She's up for reelection this year IIRC. There's definite room to put pressure on her in that direction.
