You get it. ironically, Eric Weinstein on Twitter pointed out recently that we tend to break up monopolies because they end up being bad things. But the government has a monopoly on violence and it's been better that way for many places (i.e: they have armies and police that work within the law)

The government tends to gain more powers to stop rioters, the rioters will go away but the new powers won't.
