Wordpress.com (Not .org) subscription system which is basically hosting and fancy customization things, nothing you could do pratically on a smartphone either way.
They wanted to force Wordpress in to implementing those features on their app so that Apple could take 30%. It makes no sense because the service has fuck all to do with Apple's infrastructure to begin with and has nothing to do with the app.
Imagine you use idk the Steam iOS app to buy a Windows game, it would be akin for Apple to request 30% out of that transaction despite Steam not even offering iOS games.
