That is assuming the guy in Africa isn't currently a slave. It's one of the few native institutions that has reappeared in post-colonial Africa, which is an oxymoron because they are still very colonized by NGOs.
That's what I was gonna say. Slavery is alive and well in Africa, but BLM only cares about African Americans and their alleged incredible damage from the echoes of slavery, not about actual black slaves today.
Well, in the Atlantic slave trade US blacks are complaining about as the worst injustice, that they only gained from themselves.
Oh yeah, If I was black I'd prefer to have ancestors that were brought to the US. The slave trade is still booming, particularly among black Africans and Chinese minorities.
