I've seen dozens upon dozens and NONE or them have a pre-order date or time. So why all these articles? Gaming journalism sucks.
Sony recently announced that they would tell us ahead of time and there are articles on that. Most articles prior to the announcement and after it are all fluff and filler. This needs to stop.
Nearly all consumer news is like that. Every single sentence out of some company or execs' mouth is covered by 3 dozen sites, and stretched out to 5-10 paragraphs.
Every one of them wants to be covering the news the moment it drops for clicks, so they don't wait until the news is substantial enough to be worth anything before dropping garbage.
Its even more irrelevant in an age of easy "Directs" type connection between consumer and business. When the company just puts the info directly out, these middle men are increasingly useless.
Its become even more streamlined than that, there are press kits/press packs, which are prepackaged set of promo materials that are fed directly to publishers, which do not even have to write their own articles anymore because of it.
