"About 18% of all women in the sample and 22% of women in the age 18-25 group stated that they reported someone to an authority figure for approaching them sexually or romantically." - https://datepsychology.com/risk-aversion-and-dating/I can't seem to archive the website
I have a 1 in 5 chance of having my life fucked over everytime
I approach a woman. Well golly gee why don't men want to line up to get systemically harassed? Exactly how many women will a man have to approach to find the one for them?
Those are among all women or only among those who got hit on? Because if that is just women in general, it means the chance of getting reported is much higher.
Assuming representative sample it's 1 in 5 for all women of prime reproductive age and only slightly below 1 in 5 for those older than 25. The survey does state that the it all women sampled so technically the "yes report" count could be a lot higher because the sampling includes women who never reported because they were never approached (cynical as it is to believe some women are so awful they would report anyone who approached them). It is however telling that the survey reports men heavily fear legal consequences and rejection while women near overwhelmingly just fear the person not being attractive more than anything else.
The survey also says men will on average need to meet 10 women before a long-term relationship is established. So the average man can expect at least 2 women they meet to be the nightmares people they want to avoid before they find a single woman they will have a meaningful relation with that hopefully pans out well.
