So I saw a game on Steam called Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, and it looked kind of fun. It had a demo, so I downloaded it to give it a shot.
Within the opening seconds of the game, you're told that the world is being threatened by "evil oil", and that the antagonist is someone named "Alien Musk".
I played it for like 5 minutes, went "Huh, this is kind of fun. Shame that they couldn't fucking help themselves but to shove political agenda bullshit into the game." and uninstalled it.
unfortunately, a lot of people making games right now are terminally online.
Anyone that's made it to scored forums is terminally online tbh. Just saying
go back.
to actually address your point, a fundamental difference between this forum and others is the fact that it's anonymous. we actively encourage people not to use their personal information, therefore separating the self from the internet.
A person who is terminally online has their identity directly tied to their online footprint. they live and breathe e-drama because it is life to them.
