I used to just check White and that was it. Now I will mark other and list my predominant cultural heritage English and Norwegian. Do you think this is a mistake? Should I be broader and say European heritage? Should I just mark the White box?

Before you ask what you should do, you should decide what you're trying to accomplish. Your goal will determine your action.
That's a good question. I feel like when people talk about being white, they talk about like there's no culture behind it. So I started adding the more specific English and Norwegian bits to add a deeper meaning to white.
And it seems to me that a lot of the SJW types regard Europe as monoculture with everyone being the same. And a part of me feels pointing out different heritages is an attempt to pull away from that idea of Europe as a monoculture.
I'm also just proud of my English and Norwegian roots.
Are you first gen? How long has your family been local?
My mom side has been here since before the revolution. My dad's side is a more recent arrival, he was the second generation born here
