Was he a failure, if he still gets millions of views on Japanese youtube and Japanese people are commenting about "how they understand what he was talking about now"?

Besides his seppuku (which is more a samurai tradition than him really) , what about his beliefs do you find "cancerous"? he was against commies, against materialism and globalism , pro religion (Japanese religion anyways), against Japanese people becoming a "rootless people"
