Because there's 'left wing' and there's 'corporate left wing'. Corporate left wing is just Neolib+Neocon in a skinsuit. They use IDPOL to market, divide and conquer. They don't actually believe in the legend of noble Yasuke and defund the police. They don't celebrate St. Floyd outside of onerous lip service.
It's all a means to gain and retain power unfettered.
I would argue that not only are they not left wing, but they aren't right wing either. They are oligarch / kleptocracy. In the sense that they aren't collectives, I guess that would put it more toward the individual, which would lean right.
This particular spin to call them 'right wing' is to get all of the champagne commies on board with whatever message needs to be pushed.
They are oligarchs and global financial bandits. They've no real political position beyond power and legacy control to keep their kids in power. They are playing a completely different game than the majority of us. Same game they've been playing since Charles V vs Francis I. When the Hapsburgs started to really solidify power.
That's leftism in a nutshell, though.
A lot of people confuse modern cultural arguments or the two american parties as what "left wing" and "right wing" mean. Or they use that retarded political compass, or the horseshoe theory nonsense taught by useless faggot commies in public education. None of those are correct.
The only objective measurement of political ideologies is on a single axis, measuring scale of governments. The extreme ends of that axis are totalitarianism and anarchism.
Every leftist movement shares similar characteristics, and they all have the same parasite sociopath class that ends up ruling them.
