I read his Skyward books after being extremely unsatisfied with Tchaikovskys Final Architecture series. Apart from it being a blatant rip off (and the ending sucked balls), he's been dabbling with "THE MESSAGE" for at least a few years now.
If anyone wants a interesting fantasy / science fantasy book then I'm going to say 12 Miles Below by Mark Arrows, it's been a fun read so far. Or just read the Hyperion Cantos again.
