Actually it was just a shitty movie. If you don't become retarded and allow yourself to get attached to movies like a child then directors can't 'punish' you by making a shitty movie.

But I get what he means since critics acted like you were as bad person for wanting to see certain things. I just realized Disney’s brand of Star Wars wasn’t for me and pretty much the only Star Wars I consume now are the old books and comics. Same with a lot of hobbies. I just deal with the older stuff
