Reagan got played hard on immigration.

He signed a deal that exchanges amnesty for border security.

Democrats got the amnesty and rescinded the border security funding.

Trump was about to repeat Reagan's mistake in 2018. Thankfully he was stopped as the Democrats didn't want to give Trump anything even if they benefited overall. Their blind hatred of Trump saved us for once.
