Man.. remember when corporations used to protect their branding? You spend a billion to license a character/franchise, you paid a continuity/expert/enthusiast to protect your investment, or the licenser demanded you followed certain guidelines. Like Tom Shippey from the LotR property. When Rings of Power axed him because he was standing in Mary Sue's way, you knew the show was in trouble.
Now it's like no one is protecting their branding or IP. It's a race to the bottom to out virtue each other, and the characters and properties get fucking wrecked in the process.
I don't care if a danger hair doesn't like Dungeon and Dragons or Warhammer. Just part of your fucking job is being a good steward to the thing that the fans love. They are the only reason the property got large enough to hire your untalented ass.
