I consider this great though, because like most people they don't realise the limitations of AI and digital assets. We're going to see the same thing happening to movies that we see happening to the games industry and you'll soon be able to see exactly where they get their stuff from and how lazy they're being.
Normies will hate this because it will be so shit even they won't watch it. The staff will be completely fucked out of work due to them realistically having no bargaining position and constantly striking and it seems there's no end in sight. The both of them are wrecking their own industry and it's wonderful. I hope it gets so much worse because this is going to be a golden age for indie creators because realistically all I have to do is not suck and not do shady business practices and I will attract attention which is kind of already happening now.
It's really making me consider short films quite a bit more, I'm going to have to experiment with Blender cycles and find out what the limitations of my current PC are though.
You can count me in there too. Been messing around with Blender and Godot for a while now. I'd really love to see a community of not-woke indie creators spring up, we can all trade assets and tips and tricks and just discuss our work.

Short films sound like fun! As pie in the sky as it is, I actually want to try making a movie myself in a game engine like UE5.
