Look, I didn't want to reveal my power level here and all that shit, but umm, if you're out there reading this, let me tell you a little about furries.
Yeah I know you know all about them, but let me tell you about the level of autism that comes from selecting dragon as a furry species.
For some reason, you've got a mix of "I really am a dragon, I just look like a human" that boils all the way down to "I just play a dragon on the internet, I know this isn't real shit" (paraphrased) but let me tell you, it's front and top end loaded. The fraction of a fraction that are normal people and are also dragons is below 0.01%. The rest are one minor inconvenience away from a spaghetti infused maximum overdrive autist rant that covers everything from every negative memory they've ever had.
I left the fandom after a brief stint thinking "They're not all that bad" And some of them are okay people. I'm sure they could fill a small room with the amount of relatively normal people. But the fandom is huge, and has more than it's share of insane nutbars. The rest are just doorknob lickers with a penchant for forgetting their social filters in conversation, or using an indoor voice. Or not being a massive idiot for seemingly no reason.
These people have no coping mechanism, and they're using escapism as a way to blend in with others, and they still can't do it.
Furry species have stereotypes based either on mythology, or the people who tend to choose them. So it's a bit like a self-selected "pronouns in the bio" type red flag when someone makes their own furry personal.
You are 100% spot on with dragons. If someone has to be a dragon, 99% of the time they have some kind of personality disorder. There's a reason they have to be a tough, treasure having, mythological, magical, nation threatening identity.
One of the chicks I pulled away from a dragon "master" (in the BDSM sense) went fucking nutbars over it and was sending her messages like "I NEED YOUR WOMB!" (they both had a breeding kink.) But seriously. This dude thought saying that was like holding up a stereo, such as is often memed of the "Say anything" movie.
Treasure hoarding. Not just having, that's a key word.
Consider the logic behind what a dragon already represents, wouldn't someone with a serious mental illness be a hoarding, narcissist with a propensity for violence?

Just avoid at all cost. Believe me.
Been a furry for 17 years.

Which is exactly why they admire and choose that species as their persona. xD I concur basically.
