There's truly nothing new under the Sun, the Japanese New Left of the 1960s was no less batshit insane than their Western counterparts, complete with their own SDS and such, and it was a miracle that their equivalent to the Weathermen ended up mostly killing themselves off & getting embarrassingly crushed by the cops rather than living to infect the education system like the American original did. Unfortunately as can be seen, they were a symptom and not the cause, the same mind virus germinating in the US just regrew its Japanese tentacle once it became strong enough to do so.

BTW, you know how a key facet of modern intersectional ideology contends that the US is an inherently (the left might say 'ontologically') evil construct founded on slavery and authoritarian impulses which should be destroyed at all costs, and that the very concept of 'whiteness' is tied to this evil and thus must also be deconstructed and extirpated if the great paradise of diverse empathy or whatever-the-fuck is to be realized? The Jap left was into that sort of shit before it was cool, too.
