I got pissed off with Dr.Stone when in the newest season they almost completely abandoned the science autism and turned it into a generic fantasy anime. Yes, there were technically still 'science' elements there but when they just started magicking new tech out of nowhere for the sake of progressing the story faster and I got fed up which is annoying because I liked that anime.
Contrast that with Season 1 and 2 and you'll see exactly what I mean. It's not even the translators I think the editors themselves got to this anime and messed with the formula for the sake of getting a wider audience. This is a classic example though of the dubs vs subs argument, subs all the way.
I totally feel you on this one. I will probably catch up on the anime eventually, but after I watched season 1 I binged the manga and ended up stopping shortly into season 3's content for exactly those reasons. The entire feel that it had cultivated up to that point felt like it was just gone.
I'm with you on this. It felt like a top down change. It's too bad, because I got so invested in the first 120 chapters or so.
Yeah idk, there's a lot more material, so maybe it's just a short funk before it gets back to what made it good? Can't say I'm very optimistic of that though.
