Interestingly enough, guillotines have been used to do work in space before. In fact the Apollo Lunar Lander had what was called the LM Interstage Umbilical Guillotine which used an explosive charge to sever control and electrical cables that connected the descent stage to the rest of the Lunar Module. This was used to reduce overall weight for the return ascent from the moon's surface or in the event of an abort during landing.
Also this champaign socalist's poor understanding of physics means she fails realize you don't need gravity if you can simply provide a 9.807m/s^2 acceleration along the correct axis.
Bringing actual physics into a conversation like that is pointless, because they will just try to socialize physics.
