Out of the loop. What's wrong with hyphenated last name? Does that mean she didn't relinquish her maiden name?

It's a feminist thing because taking your husband's last name is the patriarchy or whatever.

I would make an allowance if she was Hispanic, because hyphenating names goes back centuries there. But of course, neither of her last names is Hispanic.
