To add onto this Disney basically fobbed her off, was only going to do a ride based on the system they later used for the toy story shooting gallery 'ride' and wouldn't do Hogwarts because they didn't want competition for their castles. Losing out on this and having the studios chump them out was likely part of what made them so IP hungry.
More and more this is starting to feel like Disney is becoming some Akira-esque monstrosity grabbing up every scrap of creativity in it's reach. I gotta agree though, Rowling really doesn't seem that interested in putting in the work that people want out of her, signing off on actual fanfiction showed that.
