Not necessarily. If you think natural selection and evolution are the drivers of life, then what's going on is perfectly natural. The state of "peace", "love", no wars, communism, everyone being happy together etc... has 0 competition. There's nothing to drive "progress" unless there is war, famine, plagues, etc... We now keep disabled people alive and encourage people to be fat because we've become too comfortable. This doesn't lead to good natural selection and the progress of the species but actually quite the opposite, it leads to our natural devolution.

"Female empowerment" might actually be nature's way of correcting the current problem we've brought on by becoming too comfortable. The female empowerment eventually leads to war, famine, plague by promoting communism and pop decline until the very society can no longer support the communist policies, leading to the war, famine and plague which then results in "strong men" taking over and a readjustment to the state of natural selection and progress.
