You youngons get off my lawn!! I been on the net from the old 28 dile up. Things like rotten.com and the sterilesite.com (watched a guy kill himself live on that one) and surfingtheapocalypse.com were everywhere. We all thought it was going to be a bastion of freedom to do whatever you wanted. Napster started the downfall.
