Honestly, WFH keeps people in communities instead of serfs in the downtown core who barely exist in their own neighborhood. I'm all for it, seeing the glorified city-states that run this fucking country losing their influence is a net positive for me.
Work from home is not a thing. There is remote working, but over time, that stops being a thing as well. People need to be in a structured environment with rules and conditions or they stop being in the mindset that is required to do that task. This is why they created productivity monitors, not just to catch cheats, but to lazily keep the 'boss' eye on them'. Even that fails.
