He ultimately brought this on himself by using his official product platform to act completely obnoxious. He posted a rant about not wearing masks in one of the game's patch notes a few months back. That's not what those are for. It isn't something I tolerate any more than I tolerate leftists forcing their nonsense into video games.
He posted it in patch notes that normally only 3 people would have read anyway because this is an aging indie game. It only gained traction because a leftist saw it and posted it to r/steam and r/pcgaming.
Look, normally I'd agree with you that politics shouldn't be involved with games. But when leftists do it all the time and push their ideology in every single hobbyist space on the internet - it's only reasonable to fight fire with fire.
It's especially cool because this guy isn't the norm.
"But leftists do it too!" isn't going to cut it. It's hard to say we're better than them when you have people on the Right acting like children. Not bending the knee, or giving the left the finger, is one thing. This is another thing entirely.
