Look, I get it, somewhat. Obviously I'm not Canadian, or a woman, and I don't have any siblings to think or worry about, but I've been down the dark path this series attempts, or pretends, to tread. I'm still... Not fully "off" that path.
And I too live in a cold, rural shithole, where, rather than the "church" playing the role of brutalising control and ideological... Battering, it is family, and the influence of toxic members therein.
But for me, this just trivialises all that shit. You think they would make this about a "huwhite male", in the same situation, in today's society, rather than two pretty blonde sisters? I very much doubt it.
The last... "Good" example I can think of, that did address some of this, around a white man, is the movie As It Is In Heaven, out of Sweden of all places, which is excellent...
It is, however, nearly 20 years old. And the lead actor has been dead for nearly a decade. So...
It's a bit sad that shit like this can only be made when it features society's perennial victims (shit, I sound like Imp!), tbh... And then can get showered with praise while massively misrepresenting exactly what this shit actually feels like, simply because, again, pretty white girls for the win, smh... :-/

Hey, sounding like Imp isn't so bad, at least you don't sound like Gizortnik or FakeDrJackass
