Well, shorter than reading all the comments on the post, anyway.
So basically if someone blocks you on reddit and you're viewing on either current or "new" reddit or on mobile (with the mobile site you have no choice), their comments will appear as [unavailable], kind of like when they delete it and it shows [deleted].
But see, I was on old reddit on my desktop, and it'll keep showing you the comments on old reddit, for some reason, just when you try to respond it says "Something is broken, please try again later". So I'm obviously aware this guy didn't delete his comments, like I'm guessing he was hoping I would think since I'm thinking he assumed I was on new reddit/mobile. You know, in order to give the appearance that I backed out of the fight and implicitly admitted defeat.
I didn't even argue my side that well but he still resorted to this, even responding to me on another account after I made my edits calling out his behavior saying "maybe he was tired of responding to an idiot".. but also blocking me on the new account (check posting history/account age it's pretty obvious). AND THEN 12 hours later, he came back with another comment, as well as editing the original comment from the second account, saying he didn't block me and I'm just being cowardly. At that point I made a last edit addressed specifically to him, only to my last comment, and left it at that.
I have actually never had anyone do anything like this before. I'm sure I've had people respond to me with secondary accounts to give the appearance of popular dissent to my posts, but nothing like this. He's clearly a propagandizer of some kind and they seem to be escalating with their tactics.
Oh apparently he responded again a few hours ago to taunt me again, must have missed that. Dude’s acting like you can’t unblock someone to comment at them again and then block them again. I’m not even able to look at his account with this account now.
