Because it's pretty obvious the Democrats don't actually support drafting women. The reason they pulled the vote, the reason they made it close, was because they knew even if a Republican supported it, it was political suicide to side with the Democrats and be that deciding vote.

It's hilarious that it's those three. I remember them doing the anti-feminist pandering speeches last election cycle.
It seems clear that you can't have a full win. Everyone is flawed in some way, everyone wants to give them some kind of concession.
I also thought Hawley was suspicious. He didn't have a record for speaking up for men before it was election time.
