yeah. in the old days, we just said "good manners".
growing up in a middle-class home (with both parents and some siblings) is a good foundation for mental health.
in contrast, if your family and neighbors have surrendered to nihilism, "no future", shortsight, "life is pain", junk life, white trash, sarcasm, etc ... escaping that hell-on-earth is near-impossible for a child.
in general, such "ideological" arguments are useful to distract from such real values ("socio-economic status", friends and influence), in effect: economic warfare by the 1% upper class, trying to kill the 90% lower class in the "war on overpopulation"
