Absolutely hilarious.
The neo-nazi prescence in Ukraine is multiple orders of magnitude more significant and real than ANYTHING in... just about any other country on earth.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azov_Battalion
I know we all have to take wikipedia with a huge grain of salt on this sort of thing, but wikipedia didn't design the batallion's logo.
Just the phrase 'a right-wing extremist[1] and neo-Nazi[2][3][4] unit of the National Guard of Ukraine', which, looking at the sources - and the logo - seems a reasonably accurate statement, would be unbelievable in almost any other country.
Can you imagine that? 'A neo-nazi unit of the national guard?'
An official, government funded military unit of germanic rune wearing soldiers? Imagine how utterly headspinning this would be!
For the ADL to call this 'insignificant' is... Holy fuck, Goebbels himself wouldn't be able to tell this lie without starting to giggle.
But thanks, ADL. Now that we've established where 'significant' neo-nazi presence is, we can point to this every time they ever complain about 'fascists' and 'the far right' ever again.
Remember: Until the US national guard has a neo-nazi regiment with germanic runes as their logo, there's no possible argument the ADL can make that nazis are at all 'significant' in the US.
Not reading, so tell me: is it only just as good as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamergate_(harassment_campaign) or is it even better actually?
Azov is a regiment, not a battalion (includes battalions). Since September of 2014, only few months into the unit's existence. The most basic fact possible, from just the title, and a lie already. Good start!
Nothing new there at all. Kievan Rus was founded by Vikings.
