I mean, most of these articles are written from the premise that people take them seriously.

Most people don't, even their own target audience. You think a girl is going to be like "I really connected with this great guy, but he likes Clockwork Orange, which I found kinda good too. Imma dumb his ass" ?

Maybe in a twitter rant that would "happen".
