This is wonderful timing since they won a game Sunday 5-0, in which New Zealand scored three own goals (same woman.) The product is shit and no one cares regardless of how many "championships" they win. I once got into a heated argument with someone who took offense at my pointing out that literally half the planet watches the men's world cup compared to just over 400 million on the women's side. The USWNT was also found to be over-paid relative to the men's side but here we are. Every day I care less and less about sport of any kind due to this nonsense.
The same player scored 3 own goals? Even when I played parks and rec as a child you got benched for that happening once. In high school you are immediately on the bench and you are running the entirety of the next couple practices if not more. Accidents happen, but I can’t imagine a situation where you keep making that mistake at the pro level
Yep. Someone named Meikayla Moore. Feel bad for her but it's pretty emblematic of the level of competition they are dealing with. We need an over under on how long it will take for them to find something else to complain about after this "historic" settlement.
