Only during the Cold War after India aligned with the Soviet Union (and America aligned with the Mainland China).
The Taliban have just recently defeated India for Pakistan in Afghanistan (India invested a lot in the country just as the Westerners were leaving). India also sponsors the Baloch insurgency in Pakistan itself, who just now rearmed themselves with former Afghan government weapons now on sale from the Afghan Taliban (the Balochs especially love the M16A4s with thermal sights, just like the Taliban do themselves: https://www.calibreobscura.com/insurgents-in-the-mountains-arms-of-baloch-seperatist-bla-bras/).
India also has Islamic insurgency problem, sponsored (armed, trained, directed) by Pakistan of course, as well as a Maoist insurgency to a much lesser degree. (But the Maoist rebels have already won in Nepal years ago.)
