Ooh, that’s an interesting angle I didn’t think about. I still remember my dad telling me, “That’s not a five”, when helping me with a homework assignment. He mocked a little kid’s attempt to draw a number.

Let me tell you I fixed that number up right quick and never half assed it again lol. Parents should correct kids when they do stupid things, but it sounds like they maybe rebelled against their own parent’s teaching by supporting anything their child does.

I noticed that trend of parents being desperate to be their kid’s friend. This seems like an evolution of that.
