just wait and pirate it
not bothering to write an itemized review, it wasn't particularly subversive more than the previous ones - it was kind of empty with no real substance
it just wasn't even that much fun - it relied entirely on fan nostalgia mostly for the raimi series and self-referential "humor" and the multiple spider man thing was done better by spiderverse
if anything it is a showcase of how the marvel team is so strapped for ideas that they have to pull the good ones from the previous movies
I would put it in the bottom 3rd of marvel movies, not worth full attention but fine as background when you are doing something else
I have only seen the trailer, but honestly as much as I like the idea of the multi-spidermans....
The whole premise from the trailer, if the trailer wasn't ling, just sounds SO stupid. I mean it legit makes Dr. Strange and Peter look kinda moronic. Like, oh no the memories are gone.... just freakin' tell her again or whatever [I forget it all been a while since I watched the trailer but it was something like this plus some others....]
I think EFAP has the right point in response to this.
The premise of Loki was absolutely stupid, because seeing a video in which 4 years of your life are replayed in front of your eyes is not at all the same as living through it. Similarly, just telling someone, "Hey, you're my best friend, you've been my 'guy in the chair' for 3 years while I've been Spiderman, we trust each other implicitly and you're the key to my success in life," doesn't create the emotional throughline.
