I started going to a local library thrift shop that sells old donated books and recirculates them back into the public. I bought like 7 James A. Michener books, bunch of old craft and sewing and gardening books, and now I'm reading "the mammoth book of endurance and adventure" all diary entries from famous explorers
I'm reading Shackleton's account of his South pole expedition at the moment and it's great. Why the fuck would I pay for a sensationalized magazine of steaming crap at the checkout line when I could buy a used classic for less ($2) at the local thrift store? I'm glad to bring a book everywhere I go to have something to look at besides a cell phone like every other limp dick in a waiting room. Also magazines on a coffee table in a doctors office are fucking disgusting and get sneezed on all day. I won't touch them.
