Five trillion dollars wasted on them, fifty Marshall Plans' worth, to make Africa look as it does present day. We've tried for 200 years to drag them kicking and screaming out of hunter/gatherer mode and it's been an abject failure. They cannot tend agriculture or domesticate livestock, they cannot build ships or architecture with a second story, they have not mastered the wheel, they eat each other (Liberia has the same Constitution as we do in the United States and they are fucking cannibalizing one another).
