There's a certain type of white collar worker who managed to be furloughed or work from home literally from the beginning until now, and all they've heard is what CNN tells them. My SO's mom is retired and she was literally afraid to leave her house until the day she got the vaccine.

I don't wanna sound like an asshole but is the "delta variant" even real, given that hospitals are somehow legally prohibited from telling you "which" variant of covid you had?
Personally, I think its real. My logic there is that covid is in the same family as the common cold which is known to mutate rapidly. Plus, the initial uproar and fear was based almost entirely around covid's incredibly rapid transmission. Faster transmission, more chances to mutate.
