There is zero sex/naked/kissing/whatever scene in the first book, but of course they will have to change that.
(There has to be a serious problem in America, if they put sex into everything.)
('intimacy coordinator' - Before filming, actors have to sign contracts, so they know exactly what they are doing. They can feel disgust against the other actor, it doesn't matter.)
I was thinking the same thing. Because of the success of Game of Thrones (and to a lesser extent the popularity of the Witcher series), all the hack writers are going to take the wrong lessons so every new "mature" fantasy series will have sex and/or nudity, and attempts at gritty, subversive violence.
