Is Lt.Col Scheller about to lose his second amendment rights under US Red Flag regulations? That would seem to be the obvious step, if you're an unethical shyster intent on suppressing dissent.
Only if he keeps weapons after Uncle Sam says no. Otherwise he’ll die in an attempted home invasion by either someone they never find or a career criminal with a very generous plea deal.
Loss of 2nd Amendment rights is only supposed to happen after an involuntary commitment to a mental hospital. Just talking to a shrink isn't supposed to trigger that. DoD is kinda weird, though, in that they can make personnel surrender them if they live in government housing.

His command can strip him while he is under contract, and probably did. I dont know what happens with that when hes a civilian again though
