Marriage is a union between a man and a woman for the purpose of having children. There is no such thing as same-sex marriage. It doesn’t even make sense as a concept.
It’s like two straight people getting married and then not having children. What was the point?
Marriage should exist because it promotes child-rearing, but that does not mean that marriage should only be permitted for the purpose of child-rearing. Would you tell an infertile woman that she is not allowed to marry her boyfriend just because she's infertile?
While I still support same-sex marriage, I can't blame Russia for refusing when the LGBT community is constantly living up to their worst stereotypes.
