"Indoctrination" is the norm in general. That's kinda the purpose of education to begin with.
Indoctrination is meant to be subversive, and also has an element of brainwashing. Normal education can sometimes have elements of patriotism some would call indoctrination only if you disagreed with it, but for the most part it used to be just sharing of knowledge.
What I think happened was online courses and overall availability of information exploded right around the time this indoctrination started (10-20 years ago). Since schools no longer were needed for direct transfer of information, they needed a new purpose, and the commies were already trying to inflitrate for many decades anyway.
I just mean "normal" in the sense that if you really wanted to specialize in something like a STEM, the main option was a degree, and while there has always been some indoctrination there is a clear jump in this right around the beginning of social media, when things like online courses and online videos etc., began to explode in numbers, and I guess the indoctrination portion of school took over because teachers aren't as necessary when all the answers are online.
