I really don't know. It's baffling.

Somebody in the thread said it was a sponsored tweet, with an ad below it (I wouldn't know, I uBlock everything). Maybe they made a deliberately outrageous tweet guaranteed to go viral to drive up revenue. Cynical, maybe, but given the confluence of grifters and True Believers in the Woke, it's not incredible.
