Sounds like they know what they are getting into when they sign the contract, like a freelancer, one time pay, not royalties. Don't like, there's plenty of others to take your place, there's a glut of fashion designers. Don't complain after the fact, sign better contracts. It's like the woman's soccer team. You have to stand by what you signed unless it was legitimate Hollywood contract flimflam accounting (You signed for profits not gross and guess what there's never any profits).
