That's one of the reasons why people are so standoffish about getting it, if things were as bad as they say, all they should have had to do was say "covid vaccine is out, make an appointment here: " and there would be lines out the door, right?
So why are there celebrities telling us to get it, offers of weed and candy, hell Baltimore (i think) even had some ad campaign essentially shaming you for not getting it. CEOs on TV saying "trust us its safe!" I'm not even saying it's not safe, but the way they are going about it is really strange.
Well I keep thinking that if it were actually a deadly pandemic like the black plague or whatever; I sincerely would not need to be persuaded to avoid people. Nobody would need to shame people who didn't wear masks, they'd be dead next week. If people really were so deadly/contagious then you wouldn't walk up to them to tell them to put a mask on, you would distance yourself.
I try not to fight people about this stuff though. Partly because they're scared and pathetic but also because I think part of the design is to create enmity towards eachother. They already think you're a hateful POS for not wearing a mask, so by being polite while still refusing is a sort of victory idk.
