I can attest that the weather is really mediocre here right now. I'm still having to wear a coat outside in May, which is unusual even by British standards.
Just wait until that current stops entirely. You're going to have glaciers again.
I assume you're referring to the gulf stream? What makes you think it's going to stop?
Haven't studied it in any detail, but I've been led to believe the 'irregularities' we're seeing now are the precursors to its collapse, particularly if the ice melt keeps adding fresh water to the north Atlantic.
I mostly follow earth and space weather in general, so would have to go find the recent papers on the gulf stream to say anything about time frames, or the definiteness of the trend.
