I talked back and forth about the events/gaming competitions post and how it would work. For the first event, we decided something simple was best. Tetris is pretty simple.
To compete:
You can play with an anonymous name here: https://tetr.io/
Post a comment with the score and a record of gameplay, preferably a link to a video on a platform like odysee vimeo. (I recommend playing a few times, then recording the replay of the top score with something like obs.)
Top score on two minute blitz mode by Friday (April 9) at midnight PST wins.
Didn't see this was closed yet, so gave it another go. Panic this time was deliberate to get the last long boy out that was sure to come.
Updated score: 72778

A lousy start with a soft drop and at around 30 seconds left I started to PANIK. First a hole in the stack, then analysis paralysis with the lookahead, then stopping the lookahead altogether, then absolute chaos. I feel like I could definitely do better, but I don't really want to grind at it.
yetOf the alt-video platforms, the only one that accepted my throwaway forwarder was Vimeo, so it's uploaded there. Protonmail TOS only allow one free account so I'm pretty disappointed in Bitchute. Saw someone else having trouble signing up on Odysee so I didn't bother.
Interesting. Odysee seemed to be the promising decentralized video alternative, but I guess Vimeo's working the best for now. I'll cross it out and put Vimeo then.
Also wow, nice score.
