acp's point, while somewhat hyperbolic, is largely correct.
Over a year ago now, on Reddit, the KiA moderators held a vote on how to handle stuff they had deemed wasn't appropriate for the sub. The vote overwhelmingly went for "Option 4", that is, leave it at the then-current system of downvoting things - allowing the KiA community to make the decisions.
The KiA moderators were not happy with this and proclaimed that allowing the status quo to even be an option on the vote had been a mistake. Some months later, KiA moderators proceeded as if this vote had never happened, or, if it had, their preferred option had won.
This left many members of KiA disillusioned, and so KiA2, which was originally set up by Tony many months before the vote was even proposed, was used as an alternate KiA, one where the community still held sway. Mods still have to step in, though it's largely as a result of Reddit rules that don't apply here. It's worth noting that the KiA.win community copies the Reddit KiA rules very closely, giving the lie to the Reddit mods' assertions that they're as uncompromising as they are on Reddit because they are compelled to be.
Not entirely accurate. I had gotten a hold of it through a request, I don't even recall why it was, probably to prevent SJWs from getting it. The only thing I had done with it was to offer it to david-me if he would relinquish his threats to destroy KiA proper. I only opened it for posting when they stole our vote, because before that, whatever problems the mods created were certainly bearable.
To my knowledge, they have never used Reddit admin rules as a reason for their rules of choice, but only their divine right to determine what is 'relevant' - because that cannot be questioned. As far as what they have actually claimed is sitewide rules, that is either correct or perhaps on the lenient side for an anti-SJW sub (we have been hit harder with removals of calling people 'retard', which they still allow when not directed at another user).
Actually, we have copied our sitewide enforcement from theirs, but we've had to be more censorious here and there because of admin attacks.
Thanks for the corrections Tony. I'll leave the original comment as-is for context.
